Outlander Book Club: A Breath of Snow and Ashes Chapter 118 breakdown

Jamie needs a favor from Lord John in Outlander Book 6, Chapter 118

Despite them being on opposite sides of the war, Jamie still turns to Lord John Grey in a time of need. He has one request in Outlander Book 6, Chapter 118.

With John back in the Colonies, Jamie turns to him for one more thing. He needs the sapphire back, and he doesn’t want John to ask why. It is a curious request. Why would Jamie need such a thing after 25 years? We know, but John doesn’t get to find out the truth.

John shares his own concerns now that Bree knows the truth about William. What if she talks to people about who William really is? Of course, we know that Bree is leaving for the future. So does Jamie, so he doesn’t have to be worried about that. We can all understand John’s fears, though.

John also worries that William will figure things out. This is where we get the foreshadowing. I’ll get to that in the foreshadowing section.

I am curious about whether the chapter will be used in Outlander Season 7. I’ll get to my thoughts on whether it should and could in the adaptation section of this post.
