Jamie gathers men for the militia in Outlander Book 6, Chapter 112

With the Revolutionary War in the early years, it’s time for Jamie to gather men to fight with him. There are some surprising followers in Outlander Book 6, Chapter 112.

The chapter starts with Jamie sharing with the men at Fraser’s Ridge that he is joining the side of freedom. That means being a traitor to the Crown once again. He won’t force others to join him, but they are welcome to follow him if they wish.

There are a few understandable questions that come up. Jamie also has some realization of his own as he talks to the men. I love seeing him interact with the men and give them a choice, and I love seeing some of the surprising followers.

I’m fully expecting this chapter to be used in the TV series. I’ll share why in the adaptation section.

What about foreshadowing? I think there’s some toward the end of the chapter. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the foreshadowing section of this post.
