Outlander Book Club: A Breath of Snow and Ashes Chapter 106 breakdown

Jamie and co. head to Ocracoke in Outlander Book 6, Chapter 106

Jamie, Claire, Roger, and Ian continue to search for Brianna in Outlander Book 6, Chapter 106. Knowing that Ocracoke is important, that’s where they head.

I love that we end up back at Ocracoke. I had mentioned in a previous chapter breakdown that it comes up again. Well, it’s already been mentioned, and we’re reminded of that in this chapter. Donner and the other Montauk Five had chosen this set of stones to come through.

Of course, there are stones there. This is where the foreshadowing is, and I’ll certainly get to that in the foreshadowing section.

The chapter itself sees everyone split up to find Brianna in their own ways. Jamie, Roger, and Ian all travel the island in different directions to cover more ground while Claire remains on the hired ship. It’s perfect for each other them, especially a seasick Jamie!

This chapter wasn’t used in the TV series, though. There was a sort of adaptation of it in Outlander Season 4 when it came to Roger and the stones, but the chapter itself on the island didn’t happen. I’ll get to that in the adaptation section of this post.
