Will Jocasta return in Outlander Season 7?
Jocasta turned up for an episode in Outlander Season 6, but is that the last we’ve seen of her? Will she return in Outlander Season 7?
There’s no doubt that we would love to see more of Jocasta Cameron. We’re not crazy enough to deny the chance to see more of Maria Doyle Kennedy on our screens. So, is that going to happen in the new season?
We can look at the books to get an idea. The start of Outlander Season 7 is going to be focused on the remaining parts of A Breath of Snow and Ashes, but then the story will move on to An Echo in the Bone. This does mean we’re entering some spoiler territory for those who haven’t read the books yet.
Jocasta could return in Outlander Season 7
There is a chance we’ll see Jocasta back in the story. There are still elements to A Breath of Snow and Ashes that haven’t been told yet, and some of them do involve Jocasta. There were even some breadcrumbs in the sixth season to suggest that Jocasta and Duncan will return. There was the mention of the gold.
This mention of gold is likely linked to the French gold that is used as a plot throughout A Breath of Snow and Ashes. Someone wants that gold, and it all connects to the Bugs. You didn’t think they were just normal people living at Fraser’s Ridge, did you?
However, Jocasta and Duncan only show up in A Breath of Snow and Ashes. They’re not in An Echo in the Bone. That would suggest that we’ll see Jocasta’s story wrapped up sometime in early Season 7, and it could have been part of the Season 6 storyline originally. In the books, Jocasta and Duncan have to leave River Run for Nova Scotia as they remain loyal as the Patriots take over.
