Jamie and co. run into a familiar face in Outlander Book 6, Chapter 105

Jamie, Roger, and Ian reunite with Claire in Outlander Book 6, Chapter 105. There’s another familiar face that turns up.

This familiar face is Manfred MacGillvery. He is in town working, but he did hide from Jamie at first. Now that he knew Jamie isn’t looking for him, he decides to help the Frasers find Brianna. He even has a direct connection to Eppie.

We also get to find out more about Bonnet’s deepest fear during the chapter. He wakes from a nightmare, and Brianna manages to comfort him. She uses comfort as a way to protect herself, but it’s also important to understand some of Bonnet’s fears.

It does foreshadow something to come. When it comes to a villain’s fears, we always know they’re foreshadowing something.

The chapter was partly used in the TV series. This is something I’ll get into in the adaptation section. Not all of it was needed and some of it couldn’t be included, but there was a way to work the important parts of the story.
