Outlander Book Club: A Breath of Snow and Ashes Chapter 103 breakdown

Roger and Ian find Forbes in Outlander Book 6, Chapter 103

Roger and Jamie will stop at nothing to find Brianna, and we get to see the start of that in Outlander Book 6, Chapter 103.

We start with Roger and Ian finding Forbes. Once again, this part of the story is told from Forbes’s POV, which makes it clear that he does have an important part in this story. He didn’t just take Bree, but he is also the weak link in the entire thing.

At first, he holds firm. That is until he finds out that Jamie has his mother. Of course, Jamie wouldn’t hurt the older woman, but Forbes doesn’t know that. When he learns that Jamie could hurt his mother, he breaks and shares all.

The chapter wasn’t used in the TV series. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the adaptation process.

What about foreshadowing? I didn’t really see any, except maybe what’s to come for Young Ian in the future. However, there was a lot of plot development in the story. I will get to my thoughts about Ian in the foreshadowing section.
