It looks like Brianna and Roger are traveling through the stones in Outlander Season 7. Why does it happen in the Outlander books?
Leaked photos from Outlander Season 7 filming hint that Bree and Roger are heading through the stones. They’re ready for the 1980s, and now fans who haven’t got that far in the books yet are curious about what this means.
Why would Brianna and Roger travel through the stones? In the TV series, we saw an attempt at it but they ended up in the past again. That is where home is. Neither of them really want to leave Claire and Jamie. It would take something big for that to happen.
We also know in the series that Bree is pregnant. Why would she take another child away from its grandparents?
Of course, we’re getting into spoiler territory here as we delve into the An Echo in the Bone storyline.
Why do Bree and Roger travel in Outlander Book 7?
The storyline comes up in An Echo in the Bone. Brianna gives birth to her and Roger’s second child, Mandy. She has a heart defect, and the only way to save her is to go to her own time. Brianna needs to see Dr. Joe Abernathy to get the work done. In the books, Joe has found out about time travel so it’s not that much of a shock when Bree suddenly turns up with two children.
The family decides to remain in their own time. Time travel isn’t all that easy on the body. Nor is it safe for everyone. It’s better to create a life in the 1980s, which includes buying Lallybroch! We know there’s a lot of filming at Lallybroch for Outlander Season 7, and it is possible that some of this is for the 20th-century storyline and not what goes on in the 18th century.
With the birth of the baby coming up, it’s certainly likely that the show will follow this storyline. It’s the only reason Bree and Roger would consider traveling through the stones at this point.
