Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter
If you think the chapter being from Forbes’s POV is weird, you’re not alone. However, it’s clear that this is the foreshadowing. Forbes is up to something, and he’s nervous. There is a chance he’s angered the wrong person. Well, let’s be honest, of course he has angered the wrong person. He is that sort of guy.
There is someone he’s worried about in the carriage. It’s going to take some time, but we will find out who that person is.
Adapting A Breath of Snow and Ashes chapter
The chapter isn’t going to be used in Outlander Season 7. At least, I can’t see that being the case. After all, Forbes is already dead. He was killed by Ulysses to protect Jocasta. All that came up in Outlander Season 5 because the entire Stephen Bonnet storyline came up earlier than in the book. This was necessary due to the way TV shows film and the risk of losing important guest stars.
Why wouldn’t this chapter end up being used in Season 5, though? Well, Bree’s abduction was handled very differently to the books. This would have been to condense the abduction and focus on the more important parts of that storyline. It worked for the TV show.
