Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

There isn’t that much in the way of foreshadowing in this chapter. This is more about plot development, as it’s clear that there’s something more to come with the gold that’s gone missing. This has been building for some time.

The foreshadowing is in the pregnancy. Bree is pregnant, and this time, there’s no mistaking it to be Roger’s child. Those Johnny Cash songs may become useful for after Mandy is born. The family needs to go to their own time.

Adapting A Breath of Snow and Ashes chapter

The chapter hasn’t yet been adapted for the series. There are a couple of parts that I think may show up.

The first is the gold. There was a breadcrumb dropped in Outlander Season 6. Plus, we have the Bugs who are involved in this storyline and Mr. Bug has already mentioned ghosts to Jemmy, which could lead to questions about a ghost around Hector Cameron’s tomb at River Run. There won’t be much time to fit it in, but it would work for an episode, I guess.

The other bit I think may be used is the pregnancy. Well, we know that Brianna is pregnant, but I’m talking about the bigger part of the storyline. I do hope we see Bree and Roger’s family growing with everything that it brings in An Echo in the Bone and Written in My Own Heart’s Blood. I just wonder if there’s enough time for it all, especially if Outlander Season 7 ends up being the last.
