Claire and Jamie get some time together in Outlander Book 6, Chapter 98

After spending so much time apart, Claire and Jamie get a chance to spend some quality of time together in Outlander Book 6, Chapter 98. However, ghosts of the past show up as they both process their trauma.

There were some traumatic events that happened. Claire had managed to put up a wall just to survive the threat of trial and execution up to this point. However, now that wall has a chance to crash down.

This interrupts Claire and Jamie’s lovemaking, but there is something important to take from this moment. Despite wanting Claire, Jamie still doesn’t take her unwillingly. A lot of men in this time period would do (even men now would do!) but Jamie is a good one to keep around.

The chapter hasn’t yet been used in the TV series, but that’s because of where we left Claire and Jamie in Outlander Season 6. I do expect something from this chapter to show up in the seventh season.

As for foreshadowing, I don’t see that much in here. It is clear there is still more to come for the storyline surrounding Malva’s death.
