Will Young Ian return in Outlander Season 7?

We are more than ready to check back in with our favorite time-traveling series. Outlander Season 7 is happening, and it is currently in production. Young Ian had such a major role throughout Outlander Season 6, and now we want to see more of him. Will John Bell continue to be a part of the series?
We can look at the way the sixth season ended for some of our answers. We can also look at An Echo in the Bone, the seventh book in the series to see if Young Ian has a part to play. That does mean book spoilers for those who haven’t read it yet!
Young Ian is going to be in Outlander Season 7
There is no way to get around Young Ian being in the show. Ian’s role only gets bigger into the later books, and we know characters he is connected to are going to be part of the show.
But let’s just start with the way Outlander Season 6 ended. Ian turned up with the Cherokee to save Jamie. Now they are all riding to Wilmington to save Claire. They are ready to fight if they need to so they can get Claire back. We’re going to see some of that play out at the start of Outlander Season 7.
Then comes the next part of the story. In An Echo in the Bone, Ian finds love again. That character is one already confirmed for the season. It’s all about Rachel Hunter, and we can’t wait to see all this play out on the screen. With Rachel cast, it means we’re sure to see it happen, and that means plenty more Young Ian in the series.
