Claire comes across Major MacDonald in Outlander Book 6, Chapter 95

Claire finds herself on board a ship, which is actually a little safer than the fort in Outlander Book 6, Chapter 95. It leads to her coming across a familiar face.

That familiar face is Major MacDonald. This could have been rather dangerous for Claire. After all, she’s currently still pretending to be the forger. She is still acting as a secretary to Governor Martin. MacDonald knows who she really is, and she could end up in a lot more trouble with all the lies she has told up to this point.

MacDonald knows the trouble he could create, though. He decides he wants to find out what’s really going on and whether the rumors about Claire are true. He also wants to know if it’s possible that Jamie killed Malva instead of Claire.

This chapter certainly develops the plot for the story. Is there any foreshadowing, though? I’ll get to that in the foreshadowing section.

What about adapting it for the series? I could actually see this being one of the chapters adapted, and I’ll get to why that is in the adaptation section of the post.
