Outlander Book Club: A Breath of Snow and Ashes Chapter 94 breakdown

Jamie makes it to New Bern and to Fergus in Outlander Book 6, Chapter 94

As Jamie and Ian get to New Bern, they get to Fergus and Marsali to find out where Claire is in Outlander Book 6, Chapter 94.

This is a great chapter. There is a lot going on within it, but not all of it has any weight on the overall situation. We get to see interactions between family members that are often pushed to one side unless there’s a bigger situation involving them. It’s so good to see Fergus happy and able to help in some way.

However, it’s Joan who is able to help the most. She’s the one who found Claire’s letter and is able to hand it over to Jamie and Ian. It’s time to get to the bottom of where Claire is being taken. Can Jamie get to her in time?

This chapter certainly foreshadows some things for Fergus and Marsali. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the foreshadowing section.

It hasn’t been used in the TV series yet. I’m not sure it will be, either. I’ll get to why that is in the adaptation section of this chapter.
