We pick up off the back of the stone-throwing in Outlander Book 6, Chapter 89

The chapter starts with Jamie checking in on Claire’s hand. By the end of Outlander Book 6, Chapter 89, Jamie realizes that he’s not alone.

The chapter picks up off the back of the events during the previous chapter. Claire had punched a man, and now Jamie needs to look at her hand. He quickly decides that the hand isn’t broken. He knows what broken bones feel like.

However, there is still the threat of the Browns. The men aren’t all that happy with everything that’s happened. Richard Brown realizes that his initial plan to blacken Claire’s name has had some personal consequences. Now he needs to figure out what to do next.

Jamie gets a visit from someone close to him, though. The Frasers are not alone, but will they be able to get out of this mess?

The chapter was used in the TV series. I’ll get to my thoughts on how the chapter was used in the adaptation section.

As for foreshadowing, I think it’s more about plot development. However, there is something going on that is worth keeping an eye on.

Let’s dive into A Breath of Snow and Ashes Chapter 89.
