Claire attempts to save a life in Outlander Book 6, Chapter 84

As Claire comes across a body, she attempts to save a life. It’s all for nothing in Outlander Book 6, Chapter 84.

Things start of quiet in this chapter. It looks like it’s going to be a regular day out for Claire, except that she’s dealing with some of the wildlife in the area. Sadly, that’s not how the chapter ends.

This is the chapter that sees the death of one of the problem characters in A Breath of Snow and Ashes. Claire comes across Malva’s body. While there’s nothing that can be done for Malva, Claire realizes that there is a life that could potentially be saved. Is she too late?

The chapter doesn’t really foreshadow anything. This is more about plot development. However, I guess there is a little bit of foreshadowing when it comes to a certain wild animal.

This chapter was used in the TV show. There was no way around it. However, there were some changes that I want to comment on in the adaptation section.
