Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter
There is a tiny bit of foreshadowing in Gerald Forbes’s storyline. He doesn’t like the Frasers. He still feels the embarrassment of Brianna turning down his proposal. It’s clear that this man is always going to be a problem.
However, most of this chapter is focused on the trouble to come. The war has started and everyone needs to pick a side.
Adapting A Breath of Snow and Ashes chapter
The chapter hasn’t been used in the TV series, and there’s no reason for the majority of it to even be used. After all, Gerald Forbes has already been killed off in the TV series. There isn’t the ability to include this specific part of the chapter. Of course, the series could give that part to someone else if someone wants to libel Jamie’s honor.
It’s also unlikely that we’ll see everything with Roger play out. We’ll likely see Roger’s ordination storyline happen rather quickly as there just isn’t enough time to play all of it out in the series. However, it would be good to see him confirm that he is fighting for liberty. There’s something big about that considering he is a British man from the 20th century.
