If you’ve fallen in love with The Time Traveler’s Wife on HBO, you’ll want to see more. Will there be a second season of the series?

The Time Traveler’s Wife on HBO is a TV series based on the book of the same name by Audrey Niffenegger. It follows Clare and Henry’s love story, which is complicated by the fact that Henry is a time traveler. He can’t control his ability to time travel, which leads to some complications in his life and for many people he comes across.

Yes, there is also a movie. This isn’t about the movie starring Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana, though. It’s all about this new series starring Rose Leslie and Theo James.

Will The Time Traveler’s Wife Season 2 happen at HBO?

We’re four out of six episodes into the first season. While it is based on one book, it doesn’t really look like the series is going to catch up to the end of the book by the time it’s finished. The synopsis for the finale tells us that it’s Clare and Henry’s wedding day, which suggests there is still plenty more to come.

The series also wasn’t billed as a limited series, which is usually the case when a show is based on a single book. So, it looks like writer Steven Moffat wanted to bring more of the story to life through other seasons.

Are those seasons going to happen? As of right now, HBO hasn’t renewed or canceled The Time Traveler’s Wife. There is some bad news in the sense that the show hasn’t hit the critical response it would have wanted. That doesn’t mean it’s going to be canceled. It’s going to depend on the ratings on the HBO app (and on HBO Max). We don’t get to see those figures.

We’ll certainly keep an eye on what’s to come in this series. We would love more from The Time Traveler’s Wife to get through more of Droughtlander.
