Will Outlander Season 7 include the Inside the World featurettes?
At the end of each episode, we usually go Inside the World with the EPs. That didn’t happen in Outlander Season 6, but will it happen in Outlander Season 7?
Fans of the series usually stick around for after the credits of each episode of Outlander. Not only do we get the promo for the next episode, but we also get an Inside the World featurette. This featurette usually includes Matt B. Roberts and one of the other EPs. We’ve seen Ron D. Moore, Toni Graphia, and Maril Davis do them in the past.
The EPs have a chance to discuss the episode. They share themes for the seasons, reasons for some changes, and what they wanted to achieve in some decisions. It’s a great chance to learn more, especially about the filming processes and why changes from the books have to happen.
Why didn’t Outlander Season 6 include Inside the World featurettes?
Without warning, the sixth season dropped the Inside the World featurettes. This was annoying to fans, especially those who love to delve further into the series. What was more annoying was not having the warning, so we watched to the end to find something was missing.
This wasn’t Matt B. Roberts’s decision. He took to Twitter shortly after to say that they weren’t filmed this season, and it looks to be a production decision.
Why? That isn’t clear. Maybe it was linked to the pandemic and trying to get everyone together. It could also be that Sony doesn’t see the value. We beg to differ!
Will Outlander Season 7 get Inside the World featurettes?
It’s not clear yet if we’ll get the Inside the World featurettes in Outlander Season 7. We hope that Sony has learned that fans want them.
We did get other types of featurettes, though. There was a chance for the actors to talk about the episodes, which gave us a chance to learn a little more about the characters. These were great, but it doesn’t stop us from missing the other featurettes. Maybe we can have both?
