Outlander Season 6 is likely coming to Digital in September
We know that Outlander Season 6 is coming to DVD and Blu-ray in September. We’re likely to see the Digital release happen at the same time.
On World Outlander Day, we learned that Outlander Season 6 would come to DVD and Blu-ray on Tuesday, Sept. 6. This will also include a Collector’s Edition of the series, and it means a lot of bonus features.
One thing the press release didn’t include was a date for the Digital release. The season will be released on Digital as it’s included in the DVD and Blu-ray combo pack as a code. However, we don’t know if the release will be on the same day or earlier.
Outlander Season 6 Digital release date predictions
We’re expecting to see the season on Digital on the same date as the DVD and Blu-ray. That means get ready for Tuesday, Sept. 6.
There was once when the Digital release happened the day before. That was for the fourth season. All other times, the Digital release has happened on the same day as the DVD and Blu-ray releases. We can’t see why Sony would change the way it does things for this season.
The Digital release is usually only the episodes. We don’t tend to see any of the bonus features released in this format, although every now and then there are some releases on YouTube. We do have one of the deleted scenes from the season on YouTube. Take a look at the deleted scene below:
If you want the bonus features, you’ll need to get one of the boxsets. The Collector’s Edition is going to include the most bonus features, including the deleted scenes. However, the Outlander Untold stories are included in the DVD and Blu-ray boxset.
