Details about New York Comic-Con 2022 are coming out. One of those is that Diana Gabaldon is going to be there. It raises the question of whether the cast and showrunners of the series will also attend.

From the fourth season, the NYCC panels made better sense for the promotion of the show. Season 4 premiered in November and then Seasons 5 and 6 premiered in February and March respectively.
NYCC is a major promotional event. While the cast and showrunners don’t give away a lot of spoilers, they do tease things to come. They can also take part in autograph signings and photo ops, which further helps to promote the series. The timing is also good for releasing exclusive sneak peeks, whether it’s a full trailer or a clip from the series.
