9. Sharing the truth about the Native Americans

Brianna can’t keep her knowledge of the future a secret. She knows bad things are coming. Those bad things are to the Cherokee. She just can’t not share about the Trail of Tears.

This is important for Jamie to create a bond with Bird by sharing the warning. It also shows that Bree will try to change some of history, but she doesn’t think she can do. They’ve not been able to change big moments in the past yet.

8. Everything about the matches

Brianna realizes that she should make the most of her skills to make life easier at the Ridge. She starts with matches.

Lizzie and Marsali don’t really have the reaction that Bree would like, which makes the moment even better. We see the disappointment in her face as she realizes she needs to step up her game.

7. Thinking about Lizzie’s future

I love that we see Brianna care for the other people at the Ridge. At the start, she wants to do everything she can for Amy McCallum. A little later she worries about Lizzie’s future and wants to find Lizzie a husband.

I do think it’s important to show this side of Bree. She is going to end up running the Ridge as the lady once Jamie and Claire pass on. It would become her and Roger’s place. And we see that she does have the skills and heart to worry about other people around.
