3. Listening to Brianna about Jemmy

There are a few times in Outlander Season 6 where we get to see Brianna and Roger have conversations that share their opinions. They don’t always agree, and in the past, we would have seen them argue. In this season, we saw them both listen to each other.

My favorite came when Bree worried that not telling Jemmy about the ability to travel was wrong. She likens it to being adopted and how she didn’t find out Frank wasn’t her biological father until she was older. Roger really pays attention to what she has to share here, showing that he cares.

2. Baptizing Henri-Christian

Roger throws himself in the river to save baby Henri-Christian when the fisherfolk boys put him in the river. He is angry at the boys, but he still manages to think calmly. We get another moment of him acting like a minister without even thinking about it.

He baptizes Henri-Christian in front of the kids. He shows these boys that the baby isn’t a demon at all. He is a child of the Lord because Roger says so, and there’s no arguing about it.

1. Realizing Jemmy is his son

Of course, the Outlander Season 6 finale brought the No. 1 Roger moment. It was all about the discussion of the mole, which makes it clear that Jemmy and Roger are biologically related.

Roger doesn’t even realize the weight of his words at first. He is just stating a fact. And then he realizes and there’s this build-up of emotion. Of course, Jemmy can’t know that anyone doubted his paternity, so he just decides that he has lice too and needs his hair cut. Like father, like son.
