Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

There is a lot of foreshadowing in this short chapter. It all starts with the heart. I do wonder if this is foreshadowing what happened to Claire (and later, we find out Tom). There has to be a reason she’s staring down at her heart.

Is this a hint that she’s been poisoned? Or is it a connection to the heartbreak that is to come as Claire struggles to decide initially whether she can trust Jamie or not.

And then there’s the other “dream,” which we know isn’t a dream. Malva is the woman who is making a move on Jamie, and it looks like Jamie is allowing her to. It’s no wonder Claire struggles to initially believe that Jamie didn’t have an affair. Get ready for some drama.

Adapting A Breath of Snow and Ashes chapter

The chapter was partly used in Outlander Season 6, which isn’t all that surprising. It needed to be used. We got to see the part where Jamie and Malva are together, and it’s all through Claire’s eyes.

She just thinks that it’s a dream. It’s only when Malva describes the event that she realizes that she was seeing something play out. Was it an affair, or did nothing happen? We needed to see it all happen to make sense why Claire would even doubt Jamie’s loyalty to her.
