Claire has dreams while suffering from a fever in Outlander Book 6, Chapter 63
After coming down with the sickness, Claire suffers from dreams in Outlander Book 6, Chapter 63. We experience it all through Claire’s eyes, which leaves a lot to the imagination.
This is a very short chapter in the book. It doesn’t need to be long as we go in and out of consciousness with Claire. The main focus is on one of the dreams that Claire has. At least, we think it’s a dream.
That’s the fun of this style of writing. We know that at one point, Claire has to be dreaming. She’s looking down at her own heart. But is the entire chapter a dream? It all foreshadows something big that is about to come, and I get the sense that there’s foreshadowing of what’s happened to Claire at this point in the story.
This part was used in the series. We didn’t get the heart dream, but we did get the more important part of the chapter. I’ll get to why it was so necessary in the adaptation section.
Let’s dive into A Breath of Snow and Ashes Chapter 63.
