How to watch Outlander without STARZ
There are so many subscription services now that you want to look at how to drop some. STARZ is one, but how would you be able to watch Outlander?
There are many Sassenachs out there who only have STARZ to be able to watch Outlander. There’s nothing else that you want to check out, and so, you keep the subscription running to rewatch your favorite series.
The problem is all these streaming services are expensive. You need to cut costs somewhere, and one of them is getting rid of STARZ. There has to be other ways to watch Claire and Jamie’s story, right?
Outlander on Netflix
There is the option of watching Outlander on Netflix in the United States. However, you can’t watch all seasons. As of May 10, 2022, there are five seasons available. Yes, the fifth season finally dropped.
It’s going to take some time to get the sixth season. We’re looking at May 2024, so you’ll need to keep your STARZ subscription going for that. Of course, you could cancel STARZ for a month or so as you work through the first five seasons on Netflix and only restart it for the time that you want to watch Season 6.
Internationally, the licenses differ. There are some countries where Outlander is on Netflix exclusively. There are others where the episodes eventually head to Netflix. You’ll need to check your own locations.
Outlander on DVD and Digital
There is the option of checking out the show on DVD, Blu-ray, and Digital. The exact method you get will depend on how you prefer to watch. Some people want to stream episodes online, while others prefer to watch the DVD and get the bonus features.
Like with Netflix, only five seasons are available in this method at the time being. However, Season 6 will arrive on Digital and DVD soon. We’re looking at sometime in September, but we’ll be sure to keep an eye on the exact release date when it’s announced. It’s definitely going to be sooner than the release on Netflix.
