Outlander Book 10 Daily Lines: Bree looks like Claire?
To mark Jamie’s birthday on May 1, Diana Gabaldon shared another Daily Lines snippet from Outlander Book 10. Here’s a look inside the tease.
With work only recently starting on another book, it means we get Daily Lines posts a little more frequently than in the more recent years. It was harder for Diana Gabaldon to share snippets of Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone when she got to toward the end of it. There were too many spoilers.
Now we just get teases. To mark the birthday of one James Alexander Malcolm MacKenzie Fraser, Gabaldon shared a small tease of things to come in Book 10. We get a moment between Jamie and Brianna.
Jamie sees Claire in Brianna in Outlander Book 10
We’ve heard a lot about how Bree looks like Jamie. This is something stated time and time again. Whether it’s her red hair or her height, there are always remarks on how she looks just like her father. It’s hard for anyone not to tell that Bree is the daughter of Jamie Fraser.
Nobody has told her that she looks like her mother. Nobody ever. That is until Jamie in this tease.
There are looks that Brianna makes that make her look just like Claire. He would know, being able to see their expressions on a daily basis.
He starts off by saying that the looks she makes when she’s thinking are just like Claire’s. At the end of the snippet, there’s something more touching about it.
It’s quiet moments like this that remind us of how far Jamie’s relationship with Brianna has come. Back when they first met, things were tense. However, Brianna has welcomed Jamie into her life and they’ve had the chance to get to know each other well. And now they get to share moments like these.
