Outlander is taking us Inside the World with different types of featurettes to the normal ones we’ve had from the beginning. Here’s a look inside Outlander Season 6, Episode 2.

We are heading back into the inside of another episode of Outlander Season 6. Episode 2 brought us some big storylines for multiple characters, and the five-minute featurette spends time on all of these moments.

One of those is the innovations that Brianna brings to the people of the time. She shows off her matches, but not everyone is as excited about them as Bree is. Richard Rankin shares his thoughts on how people reacted and why they may have reacted that way.

The featurette also takes time to look into Claire’s use of the ether. This isn’t a storyline that a lot of book fans like, and I did guess this would be the case from the minute I saw it used. A lot of it is because “it’s not in the books,” but there is also a lot of stigma around mental health that causes a problem for accepting the storyline.

However, we get a chance to see what Caitriona Balfe things of Claire’s actions. There’s also the hint that the ether is actually going to do more harm than good.

Another part of the featurette looks into the Christies, especially Malva. She is eager to learn, but is that because she’s looking for a way out when it comes to being with her family?

And what about Jamie? He takes on the role of an Indian Agent in the episode, and the initial request is to ask for guns. Sam Heughan and John Bell explain why Jamie doesn’t want to go through with the request and why Ian is so focused on giving the Cherokee what they ask for.
