Will Jocasta return in Outlander Season 6?

Outlander Season 6, Episode 5 brought Jocasta back for an episode. Will we get to see her again in the final two episodes of the season?

At first, we weren’t too sure if we would see Jocasta Cameron Innes return for Outlander Season 6. Then there was a tease that included Maria Doyle Kennedy, which suggested that Jocasta would return for at least one episode.

We got that return in Episode 5 of this season. Some things that Mary said to Jamie make us wonder if Jocasta’s story isn’t quite over. It all comes to the gold plot that is still to come up at some point.

Will Jocasta return in Outlander Season 6?

There are just two episodes of Outlander Season 6 left. Is it possible that we could see Jocasta return? Would she offer some sort of help to protect Claire, who is likely to be blamed for the murder of Malva Christie?

I wouldn’t count on that. However, that doesn’t mean we won’t see Jocasta return in Outlander Season 7.

When talking about Kin Season 2, there was the hint that Maria wouldn’t return to our favorite series. That could have been the initial plan until filming of Season 6 had to be cut short. Some of the episodes from Season 6 are being pushed into Season 7, and that could include the gold that was briefly mentioned.

There’s no doubt that we need Jocasta for the gold plot. After all, Jamie needs to hear the story about the gold from Jocasta herself. It all connects back to the Bugs, who have come up as bigger characters in the Outlander Season 6 storyline so far, suggesting that there is going to be an episode at least spent on the gold storyline from the books. Let’s not rule out the return of Maria Doyle Kennedy, but probably in Outlander Season 7 and not Season 6.
