3 best Roger moments in Outlander Season 6, Episode 6
Roger doesn’t get a lot of time on screen in Outlander Season 6, Episode 6. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t have some great moments.
We didn’t get to see a lot of Roger throughout Outlander Season 6, Episode 6. When he did appear on screen, he did have some important moments or advice for the other characters on the screen. These moments stand out throughout the episode as we see the type of man Roger has become over the seasons.
Roger has focused on being the minister for the fisherfolk. It doesn’t look like the rumors are changing that just now, but could everything come to an end with what’s just happened? We’ll have to wait and see. For now, let’s look back at Roger’s best moments.
3 best Roger moments in Outlander Season 6, Episode 6
Commenting about the MacNeills missing church
Roger started the episode off with the church service. It led to him questioning where the MacNeills were, knowing that they never miss a service. That led to the shocking and devastating moment of the MacNeills succumbing to dysentery, including their newborn baby.
What I loved about this moment is the care and attention Roger shows to his parisheners. He knows them all, and he worries about them when they miss a Sunday service. If it wasn’t for him, the MacNeills would have died without anyone knowing and the sickness could have taken longer to deal with.
Refusing to believe Jamie had an affair
While rumors spread across the Ridge, Bree even worries that her Da had an affair. Roger refuses to believe it though, and that’s even with the story Bree told of
Candy
Sandy.
Roger has always looked up to Jamie, but that didn’t mean he liked him. After all, there were a lot of tensions when Jamie sold Roger to the Mohawk over some terrible communication efforts. I won’t get into that. What I will say is that despite all that, Roger still knew that Jamie was an honorable man. That remains his belief, even now.
Annoyed by how the people have turned against Claire
When Roger gets back from meeting with the Sons of Liberty, he finds out that the fisherfolk have stopped going to see Claire when they’re sick. In fact, a lot of the people of the Ridge have turned their backs on Claire.
Roger is annoyed by this. He sees them as ungrateful. After all, even if Jamie did have the affair, it wouldn’t have been Claire’s fault! Will this be something that comes up in a service?
