Outlander spoilers: What to expect in Outlander Season 6, Episode 6

Sickness reaches the Ridge, and Claire’s life is in danger. Here’s a look inside the Outlander spoilers for Season 6, Episode 6.

So far, Outlander Season 6 has been very close to A Breath of Snow and Ashes. This next storyline is one that also comes straight from the books, and we’ll have to wait and see just how close all of the story is the same.

There’s sickness at the Ridge. Claire (Caitriona Balfe) will need to treat her patients, but it’s not long before the sickness reaches her. As she runs a high fever, Jamie (Sam Heughan), Brianna (Sophie Skelton), and Roger (Richard Rankin) will want to do everything they can to save her.

Meanwhile, Malva (Jessica Reynolds) will use the sickness to her advantage. It’s time for her to make her move.

Let’s look at the Outlander spoilers for Season 6, Episode 6 that we already know to get an idea of what to really expect.

Outlander spoilers: 6×06 promo

The promo makes it clear that the Ridge is facing a serious sickness. We don’t get to know exactly what it is here, but Claire knows that it is serious. Anyone can catch it, and there’s very little that she can do to save people.

She will catch it. Or at least, that’s what the promo wants us to believe. Claire runs a high fever, and it looks like Malva and Jamie are getting up to no good. Is this really happening or just a hallucination?

Outlander spoilers: 6×06 synopsis

The synopsis tells us a little more about the illness. It’s dysentery that’s spreading around the Ridge, and Claire’s life is in danger. Can she fight off a sickness that has no cure or treatment?

How could Claire suffer from this, though? Isn’t she vaccinated from it? Well, this isn’t an illness that has a vaccine, which is why it’s so serious at the Ridge for everyone.

"A dysentery epidemic spreads on the Ridge, and Claire falls deathly ill; she is almost recovered when the Christies arrive and drop a bombshell; as nefarious rumors spread like wildfire on the Ridge, tragedy strikes."

The images also go into another storyline. Roger continues to act as a minister. He may be the one called to speak at the funerals of those who have been lost to the disease. I’m hoping for a certain church service from the books to happen. Those who have read A Breath of Snow and Ashes are sure to know which one I mean. This episode is going to need a little bit of humor.

The rest of the images give little away. We don’t get anything of Malva’s storyline. She continues to work in the back, getting up to whatever she has planned.
