3 best Brianna moments in Outlander Season 6, Episode 5
While Claire and Jamie head to Wilmington, Bree and Roger man the Ridge. Here’s a look back at Bree’s best Outlander Season 6, Episode 5 moments.
Brianna continues to bring some of the 20th century to the Ridge in Outlander Season 6, Episode 5. And no, that isn’t just in the form of a toy plane for Jemmy. It’s time to bring indoor plumbing to the people.
We get to see some of that happen during the new episode. However, Bree gets some focus for other reasons. Not only is she annoyed at Roger, but she has a good reason to be. She knows something he doesn’t about their family.
3 best Bree moments in Outlander Season 6, Episode 5
Immediately caring for Lizzie
The start of the episode sees Lizzie, Marsali, Malva, and Lizzie going for a hike. They’re looking for a good spot for Bree to build a water wheel. The idea is to bring indoor plumbing to the Ridge, but she needs to find the perfect spot.
The trip is cut short, though. Not only do the women find a love charm, but Lizzie’s malaria (which has never been mentioned in the show before so don’t worry if you feel like you missed it) plays up. Bree doesn’t care about the water wheel anymore. Her focus is immediately on getting Lizzie back home where the Beardsley twins can care for her. Water wheels can wait.
Being honest with Roger
What can’t wait is honesty. Brianna needs to talk to Roger about what it looks like when he spends hours alone with Amy McCallum. He’s a married man, and she’s a widow.
Communication is important. One of the problems for all the characters in this series is communication. If they don’t talk clearly, there are misunderstandings and presumptions that lead to people getting hurt and nearly killed. Bree knows that she needs to talk to Roger, and not just to warn him. She needs him at home for her, Jemmy, and their unborn baby.
Brianna is pregnant!
Talking cousins with Marsali
Marsali immediately realizes that Bree is pregnant. It’s time for the sisters to talk, and I love seeing them bond. This one is a bittersweet moment, though.
Marsali is leaving for New Bern, where Fergus now has a print shop thanks to Jocasta. Bree feels like the cousins will never get to meet, and it shows just how much this growing family means to her. She grew up with no family, and she doesn’t really want to lose what she has now.
