Jamie had a lot to deal with in Outlander Season 6, Episode 3. Here are the three best moments of his from the episode.

There was a lot going on at the Ridge during Outlander Season 6, Episode 3. It all started with Henri-Christian floating down the river, and all ended with Major MacDonald turning up with good and bad news.

Jamie played an important role in a couple of the storylines. He’s the reason a certain character manages to find his way back to his family. Let’s break down the best moments from the episode for Jamie Fraser.

3 best Jamie moments in Outlander Season 6, Episode 3

Dealing with the fisherfolk lads

Roger saves Henri-Christian, but it’s up to Jamie to figure out what to do. After all, Jamie is Henri-Christian’s grandfather and the owner of the land at the Ridge. It’s best that he’s the one who deals with it.

Instead of telling their parents, Jamie brings the children to him. He tells them to touch the poker or the baby, making it possible for them to realize that Henri-Christian is just a baby. It’s the perfect way to deal with the situation, and only Jamie could think of that.

Opening up about Ardsmuir

Every now and then, we learn a little about the things that happened at Ardsmuir. This season is going to bring us more with Tom around, and that certainly happens during this episode. Jamie opens up a little about things that happened.

We get a quiet moment between Claire and Jamie as they also discuss Tom and his apprehension of Claire touching his hand. As they talk about what some of the men did and whether Jamie longed for it, we get this moment of intimacy between the two of them. I love that as they grow older, their intimacy and connection just grow.

Bringing Fergus back from the brink

At the end of the episode, Jamie is walking through the woods and finds Fergus who is planning to kill himself. Jamie immediately stops him.

Fergus breaks down, sharing how much of a failure he is. He’s sure that suicide is the best option for everyone, which is so heartbreakingly common when it comes to suicide. He thinks he’s a burden, and that it would be so much better for everyone if he just wasn’t around. Of course, that’s not the case.

Jamie is the one that manages to get through to Fergus in a way nobody else can. He helps Fergus see his worth, and we have some hope for the family.
