3 best Brianna moments in Outlander Season 6, Episode 2
Brianna “invents” matches in Outlander Season 6, Episode 2. Here’s a look at her standout moments throughout the new episode.
We get a chance to see Brianna find her place in the past. Not everyone is all that excited about her “inventions” just yet. There is always a chance to see her bring something to the Ridge that will benefit everyone.
This isn’t really all that big of an episode for Bree, though. That doesn’t mean there aren’t some standout moments. Here are my three favorites.
3 best Brianna moments in Outlander Season 6, Episode 2
Making matches for the Ridge
We get to see Brianna bring an “invention” to the Ridge. I say invention in quotes because we all know that she’s not quite invented matches. To the people of the Ridge, it looks like she has, though.
Bree shows off what she’s made at dinner. It doesn’t go over all that well, but I love seeing her smile. She’s proud of figuring out how to put something from the future together. This is her element, and we’ll get to see more of it in later episodes.
Sharing the truth about the Native Americans
Young Ian is able to find out a little of what’s to come for the Native Americans from Brianna. He wants to know if the Cherokee should have access to guns, and it’s clear they should. The Cherokee will need to protect themselves in the future.
Bree is clearly disappointed in the way white people treat the Native Americans. She doesn’t want history to play out, but we see that sense of being helpless. She knows what will happen, but doesn’t really know what she can do to prevent it. Maybe Ian can do something with the information she shares.
Her annoyance about the reaction to the matches
Before showing off the matches, there is a lot of excitement about Bree being pregnant. The excitement disappears when she just shares the matches. It’s clear to Bree that really all people think women are good for is having babies.
Maybe part of it is that Bree and Roger have been trying for a baby for a while. It’s also likely that she was so proud of herself, but now she’s doubting that she can use her skills on the Ridge after all. Now it’s time to see more of this development for her character.
