Marsali goes into labor in Outlander Season 6, Episode 2

Marsali goes into labor during dinner, but it’s not an easy birth in Outlander Season 6, Episode 2. Here’s everything that happened in the episode.

There are a few storylines from A Breath of Snow and Ashes that come up with some small deviations in the new episode. Jamie meets with Bird and the Cherokee, while Marsali goes into labor.

It’s an intense episode. There are moments where you’re left wondering how characters will fair, especially Marsali. However, the episode manages to break things up with some humor that comes straight from the book.

Jamie’s acts as Indian Agent

The episode starts with Jamie and Young Ian heading out to see Bird and the Cherokee. This is his first act as Indian Agent that we get to see, and Bird makes it very clear. He and his people want guns.

Jamie isn’t all too certain. If he arms the Cherokee with guns, they could turn those guns on the Crown. Jamie knows that will be something the governor worries about. However, Young Ian wants to make sure the Native people are protected now that he knows what’s coming.

Young Ian even goes as far as asking Brianna bout what’s to come. Do the Cherokee survive? Bree shares what will happen. While the Native people will survive, they will be driven from their ancestral lands. Young Ian wants to give the Cherokee as much as they can to protect themselves.

It leads to some arguments between Jamie and Young Ian. I love that we get to see Young Ian standing up to his uncle once more. He has become a man of worth since being with the Mohawk.

Eventually, Jamie agrees to ask for guns.

We do get a hilarious moment while Jamie and Young Ian stay with the Cherokee. Bird has sent women to Jamie’s bed as a greeting. Young Ian is able to translate some of it, with comments about Jamie’s performance being the reason to say no.

When Jamie gets back, he needs to have Claire.
