Are there Inside the World featurettes for Outlander Season 6?
Matt B. Roberts shared some disappointing news for Outlander fans. There won’t be any Inside the World featurettes this season.
At the end of each new episode of Outlander, we get ready to delve “inside the world.” It’s a chance for some of the EPs to take us into decisions made or themes of the season or just general moments that stood out to them.
The Inside the World featurettes are available after new episodes air on STARZ. Even those watching on the app get to see the featurettes, and then they’re shared on YouTube for those who don’t get to watch in the U.S.
That’s not going to be the case this season. There will be no Inside the World featurettes at all.
Why won’t Outlander Season 6 go Inside the World?
Roberts shared the disappointing news on Twitter when a fan asked about it. This wasn’t a decision made by him or the rest of the team. It sounds like a STARZ or maybe a Sony decision instead.
However, he did confirm that they would still do the podcast.

Naturally, fans have taken to Twitter to complain. While it is normal and acceptable to be disappointed, there has been some unreasonable and entitled behavior from some fans. We are not entitled to these Inside the World featurettes. They’ve always just been some additional looks at the episode and the story being told. Plus, those who created the series are not the ones to be lashing out at.
It’s not all that clear why the featurettes aren’t happening. All we can guess is that it has something to do with the pandemic and a few schedule clashes. Hopefully, these featurettes are brought back for Season 7.
