The Outlander Season 6 premiere is finally here. Droughtlander is over. Here’s a look back at the episode to see Jamie’s best moments.

Jamie had some outstanding moments throughout the Outlander Season 6 premiere. There are some that will certainly stand out when it comes to his character development for the series. However, there are some smaller moments that stand out more to see the type of man Jamie is.

Sure, it was awesome to see him figure out a way to bring peace at Ardsmuir. However, we expect something like that from Jamie. There were smaller moments that stood out to show home to be a family man, and one who is focused on doing the best for the people around him.

Here are my top three Jamie moments from the Outlander Season 6 premiere.

3 best Jamie moments in the Outlander Season 6 premiere

His decision to become the Indian Agent

We do start with one of the big moments. It is about Jamie becoming an Indian Agent, but this isn’t because he does take eup the offer. Instead, it’s why he takes up the offer.

At first, he doesn’t want to. In fact, he makes it clear to Major MacDonald that he isn’t going to do this. So, MacDonald makes it clear that it will be offered to Richard Brown instead. With the Committee of Safety, Richard is building trust with the people in the backcountry.

Jamie can’t allow that to happen. He knows that Richard would use the power in a negative way. He’s already a threat to Fraser’s Ridge. So, to protect the Indians and to protect his family, Jamie decides to take up the offer.

His honesty with Claire about Tom Christie

There’s a beautiful moment between Claire and Jamie. Claire doesn’t like Tom Christie already, and Jamie makes it clear that he didn’t expect Tom to come to Fraser’s Ridge. In fact, he didn’t want Tom to come to the Ridge looking for a place to build a life.

Couldn’t he have stopped it? When he put out the call to all those who had been at Ardsmuir Prison, he couldn’t say “all but one.” It wouldn’t have looked right.

Jamie is an honorable and fair man. He is also looking out for his family and those who he feels responsible for. However, he’ll have to find a way to make things work with Tom. The flashback at Ardsmuir will likely give us some sort of clue.

Taking his grandchildren on an adventure

I love seeing Jamie as a family man. That’s something we get to see in the Outlander Season 6 premiere.

When he takes Claire to Marsali, he then makes sure Marsali’s children are out of the house. Germain, Joanie, and Felicite all bundle up in the wagon, and Jamie makes it clear that he’s taking them on an adventure. I would have loved to see Jemmy there too, but seeing him with the three of them was enough.

We also see his reaction when he sees Fergus. He manages to hold most of his disappointment in, but it’s clear that he’s disappointed and worried about Fergus. It’s going to be up to others for now to deal with that. Jamie will just step in where he can, and that means being the fun granddad.
