Malva Christie is coming to our screens in Outlander Season 6. Jessica Reynolds shares a little about the character ahead of the premiere.

We get to meet the Christie family in Outlander Season 6. It’s already clear that this family is going to cause some trouble. At first, it looks like Malva will be caught in the middle of two families, but don’t trust that sweet little face just yet.

Jessica Reynolds joins the cast as the character, who is around 16 to 18. Yes, she’s just a young girl, and she’s got a lot to learn about the world. Just who is Malva Christie on the series?

Jessica Reynolds teases Malva in Outlander Season 6

Reynolds shared a little about her character in a promo video for STARZ. You can take a look at the full video below:

This is a young woman who is slowly finding her place in life. She’s moved from Scotland to the Colonies with her father, but this is a man who spent his years in Ardsmuir Prison and then as an indentured servant. You should already tell from timelines that there’s a little more to this particular story.

When Malva sees Claire at work, she becomes curious. In a way, Malva is a little out of place in the 18th century. She’s a woman who wants to learn more about healing, quickly becoming Claire’s apprentice. We know Claire will need a new apprentice since Marsali is currently heavily pregnant and will give birth to her fourth child during the new season.

This will certainly help to create a bond between Claire and Malva. It makes Malva’s story all the more disappointing and hurtful for Claire, but we won’t get into that for those who haven’t read the books yet.
