Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

We certainly get a little bit of foreshadowing in this chapter. The bits with the charm and the idea that it comes from Amy McCallum is more plot development than foreshadowing. There is something linked to some of the travelers, but not Amy McCallum specifically.

It’s Roger being away a lot that foreshadowing something coming up. There is talk around the area about Roger and his feelings for Amy. He spends more time with her than with Bree. It’s clear that Bree isn’t worried, but it’s something that needs to be nipped in the bud quickly. This isn’t the time period for this sort of gossip. It could get a lot of people in trouble.

Adapting A Breath of Snow and Ashes chapter

I’m sure some of this chapter will be used in Outlander Season 6. We’re sure to see some of Brianna finding her place in the past. She has skills that may not be suitable for a woman, but they are excellent for the whole family. She can help make life just a little bit easier for herself and the people around her.

However, there’s no need for all the chapter to be used. The bit that stands out the most is the bits with the charm. That could be included with just Bree walking through the forest or something. She could even just mention it in passing. The same with the waterworks. We don’t need to see her building it or working on it. We just need to know that she’s doing it. There’s time for other “inventions,” and we know we’ll see the matches so there’s one.
