Brianna and Jamie work together for one of Bree’s projects in Outlander Book 6, Chapter 49
We jump back to Brianna in Outlander Season 6, Chapter 49. While she and Jamie work on digging for one of her latest projects, they come across a disturbing find.
This is a great chapter to see Bree and Jamie together. There’s a sense of pride in Bree, even if she’s not doing something that would be considered for women during this time. After all, he knows that Claire does things that aren’t considered for women and he is proud of her for that. It makes sense that he’d be proud of Bree too.
While they’re digging to help Bree get what she needs for a waterworks, Jemmy and Germain come across a small find. It leads to a few questions, and it’s clear that this is going to come up in a later chapter.
The conversation later moves onto the scars on Jamie’s back. What does Germain know about Jamie? What has Fergus shared? We get to see a bit more of that dynamic in the chapter.
There is certainly some foreshadowing in the chapter, and it’s not just about the find in the forest. There’s a bit of foreshadowing about Roger.
I’m not sure how much of this chapter is going to be used in Outlander Season 6. We’ll certainly see Brianna “invent” a few things, but will the waterworks be one of them?
Let’s dive into A Breath of Snow and Ashes Chapter 49.
