Outlander Book Club: A Breath of Snow and Ashes Chapter 44 breakdown
Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter
There is a little bit of foreshadowing in the memories. We know that there’s still a lot that Jamie doesn’t remember about Culloden. Those memories are still slowly coming back, and he is going to gain more in the coming chapters and even in the coming books.
We also get to see more of his growing bonds with the local Cherokee people. He is respectful and just wants to see them safe and protected. However, it’s not all going to matter. Can you really change history?
Adapting A Breath of Snow and Ashes chapter
This chapter hasn’t been used yet. We will see Jamie become an Indian Agent in Outlander Season 6, so there is a chance for the chapter to play out. When it comes to the important moments from the chapter, it’s more about him warning the Cherokee people of what’s to come.
However, is even this moment big enough to be included in a shortened season? I’m debating that in my head. I don’t think there is, and there are other more important parts to develop from A Breath of Snow and Ashes instead.
