Jamie shares a little of what he knows about the future in Outlander Book 6, Chapter 44

Jamie starts the chapter bargaining for Light’s wife and then moves onto sharing what he knows about the future in Outlander Book 6, Chapter 44. There are also memories of the past that come up.

It all starts pretty light. Jamie gets to meet Alexander Cameron, a Scot who has lived with the Cherokee since he was 15. However, things get a little heavier as the chapter goes on, with memories of the past coming up.

The most important part of the chapter is Jamie explaining what is going to come. He needs to do this carefully, but it’s clear that some are willing to head the warnings seriously.

This chapter foreshadows a little of what’s to come. It’s more about being focused on the time period and the life of the tribes. It’s also about bringing some of Jamie’s memories back.

Will we get to see this chapter play out? I’m not too sure about that just yet. I’d love to see Jamie explaining what’s to come in the future with caution. However, I’m just not sure how much time there will be for it. I’ll get to that in the adaptation section.
