Outlander Season 6 brings us a heartbreaking Marsali and Fergus tease

We’re getting a few more Outlander Season 6 teases as we get closer to the season. One of the latest has been about Marsali and Fergus.

We’ve certainly wanted more Marsali and Fergus on our screens. While we got more of Marsali in Outlander Season 5, Fergus was only in the season here and there. We need more of our favorite Frenchman.

We’ll get much more of them both during Outlander Season 6. However, it’s going to be a darker storyline. This is the point that things get very hard for the couple.

Is Fergus beating Marsali in Outlander Season 6?

The latest tease has Claire asking an important question. Is Fergus beating Marsali? This comes up because of bruises all over Marsali’s wrists.

We don’t even get an answer in the tease. Marsal is lying in a bed and notes that Fergus blames himself for things that happened to Marsali and Claire at the end of the fifth season. Then we jump to Fergus apologizing for being a “disappointment” to Marsali.

It’s clear that Fergus is struggling. We just have to look at A Breath of Snow and Ashes to get the full storyline, but I don’t even think we need that at this point.

Fergus blames himself for the attack on Marsali and Claire. This is something any man of the time would blame himself for. Jamie will also blame himself for not being there for his wife and daughter-in-law. However, Fergus has something else to feel bad about: he cannot do the things men of his time can.

We haven’t seen much of Fergus, but it’s clear that he can’t do everything Jamie can do. With only one hand, Fergus is left struggling to do some of the digging and planting. We saw in Wilmington that Fergus was struggling to find work and it meant Marsali had to do more to support the family.

It’s not like today where the roles could be switched and Fergus could stay home with the children and allow Marsali to work. He’d be the talk of the town for not supporting his wife.

So, we’re about to see a dark storyline for Marsali and Fergus in Outlander Season 6.
