Sanditon Season 2 is not coming to PBS Masterpiece in February 2022

If you were hoping for Sanditon to get you through this last bit of Droughtlander, there’s some disappointing news. Sanditon Season 2 won’t premiere yet.

There isn’t long left of Droughtlander, but that doesn’t stop us searching for another show to help us through it. Sanditon is a great option, especially for fans of period romance shows. However, we’re not getting the second season just yet.

This news won’t be surprising to most. While we double-checked the list of releases on PBS Masterpiece in February 2022, we never expected to see Sanditon Season 2 there. This show already has a premiere date, and we now has a teaser for the season.

Sanditon Season 2 premiere date on PBS Masterpiece

The new season premieres on Sunday, March 20. This is going to clash a little with Outlander Season 6. After all, Claire and Jamie return to our screens on March 6. While Outlander airs at 8 p.m. ET/PT, Sanditon will air at 9 p.m. ET/PT so you will be able to watch both.

This is going to be ready for you when Outlander Season 6 finishes airing. You’ll be able to turn to PBS Masterpiece via Amazon Channels and catch up on the season. Then you can watch the episodes weekly after that.

We do have the official preview for the season. This is more of a teaser rather than a trailer.

It follows Charlotte as she makes the decision to remain in Sanditon. She loves her life here and the people she’s met, even if she’s not found love in the way she thought she did.

There are more suitors turning up, though. We know one of them will be Outlander‘s Alexander Vlahos, and you will spot him in the preview for the season. The main focus of this preview is Charlotte, though.
