Claire is abducted and Marsali knocked out in Outlander Book 6, Chapter 27

We get to a difficult part of Outlander Book 6. This is the moment Claire is abducted, leading to a traumatic event.

The chapter starts off like it’s any other day. Claire is heading out to talk to Marsali and discuss things about Fergus, but their conversation is interrupted by men who want the whisky. This is where the trouble starts.

Claire is abducted. She has no idea who it is at the time, but it’s clear that Jamie isn’t going to find her immediately. This is going to be a much bigger storyline.

The chapter has already been used in Outlander. It was pulled forward to Outlander Season 5, and that’s likely because there are so many big storylines in the sixth book that would need to be included. This one certainly did. I’ll get to my thoughts about it in the adaptation section.

There’s not that much in the way of foreshadowing, though. This is mostly about plot development for the next part of Claire’s story. The only real bit of foreshadowing is the moment with Claire and Marsali when they talk about Fergus.
