Claire checks in on Tom after surgery in Outlander Book 6, Chapter 24

Tom Christie starts his rehab in Outlander Book 6, Chapter 24. It’s time for him and Claire to bond a little more.

Claire’s work as a doctor doesn’t stop after the surgery. She also needs to do the post-op work, which means checking in on her patient and giving rehab tips to prevent the muscles from contracting back.

This chapter offers another chance for Tom and Claire to bond a little more. It’s clear that there is some foreshadowing in this chapter when it comes to Tom and Claire’s story.

The chapter then moves onto Claire and Jamie, and it’s a chance to delve into the past. We learn a little more about things at Ardsmuir and Jamie’s experience there. It’s the most he’s opened up about his own feelings during that time.

We haven’t had any of this chapter on the show just yet. I do think some of it will come up, but not all of it.
