Jamie and Claire run down all the times he’s almost died in Outlander Book 6, Chapter 13
Jamie and Claire run down things they’d been up to during the day in Outlander Book 6, Chapter 13. It leads to a question about how many times Jamie has died.
We know a couple of chapters ago, Jamie thinks back to a time in France. He remembers a fortune-teller going through how he has nine lives. Understandably, he’s been thinking about that off-page, and it comes up during this chapter. He wants to run through just how many times he’s died.
Jamie doesn’t class everything that Claire would. I’m sure he doesn’t class everything we would, either. However, it’s clear that he’s wondering if this fortune is going to turn out to be true.
There is a little bit of foreshadowing in this chapter. We know there are more deaths to come. Well, more near-misses at the very least.
It hasn’t been used in the TV series just yet. I don’t think the show will make a huge deal of this chapter in Outlander Season 6, but there is a way to include it. I’ll touch on that in the adaptation section.
Let’s dive into A Breath of Snow and Ashes Chapter 13.
