Jamie and Claire discuss what being an Indian Agent means in Outlander Book 6, Chapter 7

We get back to Claire and Jamie in Outlander Book 6, Chapter 7. It’s time to find out what he’s doing about becoming an Indian Agent, and what that actually means.

The chapter is on the short side. It starts off with a focus on what being an Indian Agent means for Jamie. Claire notes that it sounds like something from a television show, which brings up thoughts of her own time.

This conversation slowly moves onto what’s still to come. Jamie is still trying to walk between the fires. He needs to figure out the right time to make the switch to protect his land and his family. Of course, it means he thinks about what could happen in the future to him and what Claire will need to do.

There is some foreshadowing in this chapter. There’s no way we can talk about the war to come without foreshadowing.

However, the chapter hasn’t been used yet on the series. It could be used in Outlander Season 6, and I’ll get to my thoughts on whether that is likely to happen. Spoiler: it would make sense to keep it in, even just as a small mention.

Let’s dive into A Breath of Snow and Ashes Chapter 7.
