Jemmy and Germaine end up drunk in Outlander Book 6, Chapter 6
This chapter in Outlander Book 6 is a long one. I’ll admit, though, that I don’t feel like a lot happened in the chapter and it was more about the focus on life at the Ridge.
The chapter starts with Young Ian waking up and remembering things that happened to him and where he is right now. It then moves onto Brianna and Roger as they decide to fetch Jemmy from where their son was supposed to be staying for the day.
We do get to see live at the McGillivrays a little, and it does offer us a little foreshadowing. I’ll get to that when it comes to the foreshadowing section. However, it just doesn’t feel like a chapter that moves a lot of the story forward. It’s more of a chance to see Roger and Brianna grow their bond more.
I’ll admit that I’m not surprised this chapter wasn’t used in the TV series. If you’ve read the times that I’ve not be surprised by the lack of inclusion in the show, you’ll know that a lot of it comes to the differences between the way books and shows need to work. So, I never expected this chapter to be used on the show, and I’m not disappointed that it wasn’t.
Will it be used? There’s a chance some of it might, but that depends on the direction Lizzie’s story is taken on the series.
Let’s dive into A Breath of Snow and Ashes Chapter 6.
