We have an official premiere date for A Discovery of Witches Season 3, and there’s even some better news. It will help us get through Droughtlander.

We’ve been looking for anything to get through the last bit of Droughtlander. While we do have a light at the end of the Droughtlander tunnel, we have to wait until March 2022. That’s a long wait ahead of us.

There are a few shows that we hoped would get us through the Outlander hiatus. A Discovery of Witches is one of them. After all, from the second season, Steven Cree has starred in the show, and we know he’s going to be in the third season. We’ll even get to see him in present-day clothing for the third season!

A Discovery of Witches Season 3 premiere date

There isn’t much longer left to wait now. We know the third season would arrive in January, and we were hoping we wouldn’t have to wait until the very end of the month.

The official premiere date for A Discovery of Witches Season 3 is Saturday, Jan. 8, according to Collider. It will air on three platforms in the United States and Canada: Shudder, Sundance Now, and AMC+.

There are eight episodes to the season and the episodes are going to be released weekly. That means we’ll have our weekends filled until Outlander Season 6 premieres.

The downside is that this is the final season of the time-traveling fantasy series. The third season is based on Deborah Harkness’s third book in the All Souls trilogy, titled The Book of Life. We’ll see Diana expecting twins with Matthew, which is sure to cause trouble. After all, witches and vampires shouldn’t even be together, let alone have children together!
