Sanditon Season 2 is not coming to PBS Masterpiece in December 2021

There have been a few TV shows we were hoping would get us through Droughtlander. Sanditon Season 2 was one of them, but that’s not happening yet.

We’ve double-checked the list of arrivals on PBS Masterpiece throughout December, but we’re sad to say there isn’t a Christmas miracle. Sanditon Season 2 is definitely not on the list.

Of course, we knew it wouldn’t be. We were literally hoping for some sort of surprise to bring us the season earlier than already announced. After all, we’re desperate to get through Droughtlander, and there was hope that this series would do that.

Sanditon Season 2 premiere date

Sadly, this isn’t a show that will get us through this Droughtlander at all. Sanditon Season 2 will premiere on Sunday, March 20. Episodes will air at 9/8c on the network and will be available on PBS Masterpiece, which is available via Amazon Channels.

Here comes the extra bad news. Outlander Season 6 premieres on March 6. We know the premiere is going to be 90 minutes long, but we also heard that the episodes will be a little longer than normal in general. This likely means that the episodes will bleed into the second hour so those watching on the networks will need to record Sanditon to watch that after new episodes of Outlander.

Of course, there’s the benefit of the apps. Episodes drop earlier on the apps, which can make it easier to watch everything you want to.

Some fans may want to hold off on watching Sanditon Season 2 until around May. There are only six episodes to the season, and you may want them to get through the next Droughtlander. May 2022 is around when the next Droughtlander will begin considering the early March start date for Season 6.
